The Best Part of Waking Up

Longtime fans of the comic may recall the illustrated 3-part series of short stories I wrote about Abel’s involvement in the mysterious death of Meriwether Lewis and his “pirate gun” – if you missed it, of course, I’d recommend reading it. We never really got a lot of feedback on those illustrated short stories and we just dropped the idea of continuing with them onward. They were fun to write.
Anyway, here is the wonderful illustration D.Bethel did of Abel packing up Lewis’ pistol into his saddlebags from 2010:
