This declassification series pertains to an archaeologist of some renown that ICA founder Abel
was following for cleaning at the request of the United States Army Intelligence in the mid 1930s.
Declassification Note
This comic is a bit of a departure from the series with Abel cleaning the abandoned temple in South America. Apparently the catalyst for Abel’s South American vacation came due to a meeting between Abel and this monocled Mr. Smith.
The two hard a serious disagreements about how the past should be handled. Abel, cleaning since 1776, felt that the best way to learn from history was to clean up the mess it left behind and move on toward the future. Mr. Smith felt that the past should be put on display and this method would be the only way for man’s endeavors to progress forward.
It was a classic battle of ideals and to this day I am not sure if either of them ever really won.
Though, with our organization being forced to declassified and Abel being in the public eye – albeit in cartoony form, maybe the battle is over?
