EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to “Cat” for being this the I.C.A.’s Employee of the Month for Novemer 2009!

“Cat,” for that’s all he’s known as, is an intern in the HR department, a position he’s held, curiously, for five years.  He draws no pay but still shows up to work everyday.  He’s a bit of a rascal, always talking about schemes that are obviously beyond his means or control, but these fantastic flights are always a pleasure to hear if only because it’s clear he’s passionate about whatever is on his mind.  He always talks about his best friend, Girl, though whether they are romantically linked or merely platonic friends is unknown because, much like the rest of Cat, the details are enigmatic.  Anyway, his dedication to the Agency is much appreciated and here’s to another five years (at least)!

FAN APPRECIATION!

November is the month of thanks and we’re saying thank you to all the guys and gals who come on here and take about our silly ol’ comic. Anytime you comment on an Eben07 comic during the month of November, you’re automatically entered to win your choice of a $15 Gift Card to Amazon.com OR a copy of Shadow Complex for the XBOX360. While there is only going to be one winner – we’re hoping to make this a regular type of reward and every month send a signed DBethel sketch out to our commentators. More on that later.

EVENTS & APPEARANCES

If you’re in Sacramento, we’ll be sitting out front of Big Brother Comics on Nov. 14th for Second Saturday again. We should have the first printed proof of Operation: Mongoose for people to inspect as well as a giveaway for a pair of tickets to the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco! So come visit us out front from 6-10pm!

That same day we’ll also be at Empire’s Comics Vault on Arden Way to talk about the nature of running a webcomic and hopefully get a lot of people interested in making webcomics to come and teach people about the various resources out there to help bring their work to like independently and on the web!
